1How long is the warranty period for ProcessMonitor products?
ProcessMonitor offers standard 24 months warranty and reflects our confidence in the high quality of our design, engineering, production and product performance. We confirm that this product was manufactured in accordance with the current European requirements and quality standards which are applicable to this product, and that this product is free from defects on materials and workmanship at the time of purchase. Under the conditions mentioned herein, this warranty also may be invoked by all customers in the countries where this product has been sold by an authorized dealer. It does not cover accidental damage caused by your facility, however.
2How long does it take before I can see my application on-line after power up?
You’ll be able to see your application on-line a few minutes after power up, assuming that all customer- and application specific data is supplied correct.
3If my vendors choose to pay for the system can they pay for the service?
Yes, the one who is paying for the system determines who has access to the (inventory) data.
4Is my (inventory) data confidential?
Yes it sure is! Access to see your (inventory) data is only provided to those individuals you granted to have that access and above all we maintain security around your data.
5Is there a fee if I cancel the service during the contract period?
No, there isn’t a fee or refund when the service is cancelled during the contract period.
6Who do I call when I have inquiries?

7Who is responsible for the communication connection to the remote site?
The mobile communication provider, Vodafone or its local roaming partners, are responsible for the communications and is comparable similar to your cell phone usage.
8Who owns & operates the system?
ProcessMonitor owns and maintains the systems for you, 24 hours a day x 365 days a year. Our servers are being monitored and guarded around-the-clock to ensure a 99,9% uptime.

TECHNICAL and SUPPORT

1Can you provide Remote Monitoring, even without local infra structure?
Yes, we certainly can! Apart from an AC/DC powered version, ProcessMonitor offers a battery powered or a solar powered version as well. The solar powered version contains rechargeable batteries and in most cases the connected instrument/sensor can be powered from the M8xx-Series as well.
2How much maintenance do the ProcessMonitor solutions require?
The ProcessMonitor solutions don’t require any maintenance, apart from the regular maintenance of the instrument/sensor, which will depend on the type of application.
3What do I have to configure? Do I need additional software to configure the M8xx-Series? Is this code?
Nothing, as all ProcessMonitor solutions are ‘Activation Ready’ at arrival! During the purchase process you will be asked for some customer- and application specific data and that’s all. Of course your satisfactory will be dependent on the accuracy of your input during purchasing, but even in the unlikely event that the solution would not meet the requirements, the solution can be altered/corrected remotely, anywhere in the world.
4Does ProcessMonitor provide other level measurements than TDR and submersible hydrostatic pressure technology, like ultrasonic, free space radar, laser and pressure?
Although the Guidense TDR and submersible hydrostatic pressure technologies from ProcessMonitor will cover over 99% of all storage and inventory vessel applications, but all other make and technologies are welcome when they suit your needs or preferences.

7How can I determine if there is mobile wireless GPRS coverage in my area?
A good impression can be obtained by using your mobile phone at the desired location. When your cell phone shows two or more antenna bars, it is likely that the ProcessMonitor will function properly. However, when you can use your cell phone, this does not automatically mean that there is also a GPRS network available. In case of doubt please contact the ProcessMonitor support team, they will be happy to support you with optional external antennas till GSM/GPRS Signal Monitoring devices which helps to watch the state of cellular network locally.
8How is the ProcessMonitor remote inventory monitoring system set up?
ProcessMonitor customer service personnel will take care of the hardware configuration as well as the ProcessMonitor Cloud-Portal set-up, in order to supply you with a hassle free ‘plug & play’ solution, based on the provided customer- and application specific data.
9I sometimes see a spike in the reading. What does that mean?
These spikes can have several causes and can be the result of e.g electrical noise within the system or a reading being taken during vessel filling, but are always application dependable. The cause should be investigated in order to avoid false alarming. 10My company has facilities that require monitoring throughout several production sites in the world. Can I have ProcessMonitor solutions for all my sites?
Yes you can, as long as a cellular (2G (GPRS), 3G (UMTS, HSPA) or 4G (LTE Cat., E/ M1/ NA) network is available on location, you can take advantage of the ProcessMonitor solution.

OPERATIONAL USE and APPLICATIONS

1What happens if ProcessMonitor goes down?
The ProcessMonitor servers will notify our staff with any performance issue, so that they can be corrected immediately. Our system and application engineers monitor and guard the ProcessMonitor servers continuously to ensure a 99,9% uptime.
2What instruments can I connect to ProcessMonitor?
Apart from the instruments/sensors from ProcessMonitor, like the Guidense TDR- and submersible hydrostatic pressure transmitter, you can connect any instrument/sensor with a 4…20 mA output, digital (status or pulse) output and/or devices equipped with a serial ASCII or Modbus RTU communication protocol.
3What is the maximum number of instruments I can connect at a remote site?
Each ProcessMonitor solution is standard capable to handle up to four analogue 4…20 mA signals, four digital (status or pulse) signals and devices equipped with a serial (RS232/RS485) ASCII or Modbus RTU communication protocol simultaneously.
4What level of accuracy can ProcessMonitor measure?
The accuracy of ProcessMonitor is practically equal to the connected measurement device/sensor. Please refer to the technical datasheet of the concerned instrument/sensor for its typical accuracy. For inventory applications with solids, be aware that the application accuracy will be significant less than the measurement device due to varying shapes of bulk solids and its angle of repose.
5I want to monitor my process and receive alarm messages at my smartphone when a setpoint is reached, what ProcessMonitor Solutions suits me best?
You can choose every solution/hardware configuration you like, as alarms by SMS text messages and/or e-mail are standard features with each ProcessMonitor solution.
6Is the solution secure?
Yes, secure access is granted to the data at the individual user - vessel level. That access is maintained using HTTPS, also called HTTP over SSL (secure socket layer) technology for secure communication over a computer network which is widely used on the Internet. HTTPS connections are used for payment transactions on the World Wide Web, e-mail and for sensitive transactions in corporate information systems like ProcessMonitor. HTTPS provides authentication of the website and associated web server with which one is communicating. It provides bidirectional encryption of communications between a client and server, which protects against eavesdropping and tampering with and/or forging the contents of the communication. In practice, this provides a reasonable guarantee that one is communicating with precisely the website that one intended to communicate with (as opposed to an impostor), as well as ensuring that the contents of communications between the user and site cannot be read or forged by any third party.
7Can I get data from ProcessMonitor in formats I can use on my PC?
Yes, graphical trend plots can be printed or saved locally to your PC in PNG-, JPEG-, PDF format or as SVG Vector image. All historical data can also be saved in tabular charts as spreadsheet to your local drive in MS Excel-format. Optionally your collected data can be automatically forwarded to you in CSV or XML format e.g. via HTTP, e-mail and FTP. Contact the ProcessMonitor support team when you require more information regarding this option.
8Can I have reports sent to my business based on a predefined schedule?
Yes, ProcessMonitor can have reports designed according to your needs (XML, CSV) and delivered to you on a predefined schedule. The reports can be sent via e-mail or posted to an HTTP or FTP site. Contact ProcessMonitor when you require more information regarding this option.
9Can I transfer the suppliers on the system when a vendor change is made?
Assuming that you pay for the ProcessMonitor solution and not your vendors/suppliers, yes you can. Access to your data can be changed relatively easily.
